AN EVENING OF MYSTERY AT THE VALENTINE’S MASKED BALL
This Valentine’s evening was one of mystery and fun for all who attended the Valentine Masquerade Ball at the Ashburn Hotel, in aid of newly formed charity the New Hairizon Project, which provides wigs and quality styling to those who have lost their hair through ill health.
The ball, organised by charity founder Anne Moore, owner of Good Salon Guide Five Star salon
Anne Moore, was attended by almost 300 masked participants who enjoyed an evening of entertainment with DJ Satchie and tribute act The Legends. A Dutch auction was also run, hosted by UTV and local personality Siobhan McGarry, which saw people winning fantastic prizes such as a meal for two at Clenaghans Restaurant, a year's free hairdressing at Anne Moore’s and the top prize of a 42” Plasma TV donated by Tony Foy of Matrex.
Commenting on the evening, organiser Anne Moore said :
“I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support given to tonight’s event. Everything supplied for the event has been donated free of charge, from the venue through to the entertainment, auction and raffle prizes. I would like to thank all of the people and companies who have helped to make tonight the success that it has been and in helping raise much-needed funds for this worthwhile charity.”The New Hairizon Project has a central aim of supporting people who have undergone hair loss though treatment or an illness in the provision of superior wigs and quality styling. Since the formation of the charity in November, two fundraising events have been held, which have seen just under £6,000 raised in support of this very worthwhile project.
Other fundraising events are now being organised and anyone who would like to support the project or who would like any further information, should contact Anne Moore on 028 3832 6808.
