Are you a colour aficionado, the queen of unique colour techniques or the king of pastel creations? If so, you could be part of team GSG at this year’s Colour World in London.
As media sponsors, we’ve been given exclusive rights to Colour World’s Colour Shair area, along with other major brands at the event - a chair that will allow you to show off your colour skills and talents to the crowd!
As part of team GSG, we will have our current King of the Nation, Rhys Andrews of Rhys Andrews Salon with us on Sunday, where he will be taking to the Colour Genius panel of experts before showing his skills on the Colour World floor. As our Nation’s Favourite Hairdresser King of 2019, Rhys will be helping us decide on the three lucky winners who will be joining us in London in May.
So, ready to enter? Simply upload your colour work (must be relevant and within the last 12 months) to Instagram tagging us in - @goodsalonguide – and using the hash tag #GSGColourWorld, so we know it’s your competition entry. You can enter up to five images between now and the closing date (8th April), so you can really show off your colour creativity to us. Images do not have to be professional; they can be snaps of colour work from within the salon that have been taken on your phone.
Stylists that enter must:
- Belong to a Good Salon Guide member salon
- Be confident to stand and present your colour to the crowd around you, as you will be asked questions
- Have good presence and be able to hold the crowd’s attention – we will of course be on hand with you on the day to help you out!
The winners will receive two hours on GSG’s Colour Shair. This is a chair within Colour World London where colourists get to showcase their skills and expertise to the crowd. You will have a mic where you can talk about your colour process and what you are doing, explaining each step of the way.
Once your colour is finished, you will have full use of the Dyson Style Bar, where you can have your model fully styled and finished before stepping up on stage to introduce yourself and your colour work. You will then be photographed with your model, and then you’re free to enjoy the rest of the event as you wish.
You will be given two passes to Colour World, one for you and one for your model. Any other passes you require, for example if you would like to bring an assistant to help you, will need to be purchased by you via the website: www.colourworlduk.com. You will also need to arrange your own travel to and from London.
#GSGColourWorld competition closes on the 8th April, giving the winners five weeks to prepare their colour demo. Winners will be announced on Monday 13th April.
