Fit For Salon: Yoga, Meditation and Pilates

As we start to get ready to head back to the salon, we really need to be able to get our core strength back into position and allow our minds to concentrate on the job at hand. For this, Jo Gilder recommends Yoga, meditation and Pilates.

These three practices are great for Inner peace, body strength, focus and concentration. Yoga uses the body to connect with the mind and the inner self, while Pilates uses mindfulness to connect to the inner workings of the body.

When it comes to meditation, the goal is not to become a different person, a new person, or even a better person. It’s about training in awareness and getting a healthy sense of perspective. You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment. And eventually, you may start to better understand them as well.
