Rough diamond to a smooth operator in the name of charity

It was a case of back to basics for one brave Good Training Guide recognised Basingstoke College of Technology tutor as he went from being a rough diamond to a smooth operator all in the name of charity.

Construction and Interior Skills lecturer Graeme Coventry put his body on the line after he agreed to have his back waxed in order to raise funds for Children In Need!

Carrying out the treatment were students from the College’s National Diploma in Beauty Therapy Sciences course, overseen by their tutor, Jude Ifould.
The group of 11 second-year learners took part in a speed waxing masterclass in order to perfect their skills, using Graeme as a willing real-life model.

Jude, who organised the session, said: “Graeme was a willing model and to organise the donations to charity was an added bonus. The students rose to the ‘challenge’ and performed the treatment with expertise and professionalism. They are keen to work on more clients to perfect their speed waxing skills. Any takers?”
