The Good Training Guide is part of the Good Salon Guide that was established in 1993. The Good Training Guide and the Good Salon Guide are independent and recognise and promote professional standards and services within the hairdressing industry. The Good Training Guide helps potential trainees, parents and salon owners make an informed choice about the best training establishments in their area. Information is provided on hairdressing training whatever the level of training required. On joining the Good Training Guide all Academies are professionally assessed against objective criteria that have been developed with hairdressing academies, hairdressing industry bodies and professional hair salons. All Academies are then reassessed at least once every 12 months, ensuring high standards are continuously met and maintained.
